Peugeot e-2008 gets updates to boost range

The driving range for the contract hire Peugeot e-2008 has been boosted with extra efficiencies, along with new styling features and a revised trim line-up.

The latest developments in technology have been unveiled for 2022 for the all-electric model.

Peugeot says it has improved the car's driving range to 214 miles.

The firm has done this with a number of tweaks, including upgrading the 17-inch tyres to A+ class.

Peugeot e-2008 car lease range

The improved lower rolling resistance tyres for the Peugeot e-2008 car lease range deliver greater fuel efficiency.

There's also a new transmission ratio thanks to a mechanical development that will boost the car's range while on road and motorway journeys.

Also, Peugeot has also fitted a new heat pump that works with an interior humidity sensor to help optimise energy efficiency whenever the air-conditioning or heating is being used.

The information picked up by the sensor will help control the recirculation of air in the car and help preserve battery energy whenever maintaining the car's temperature or heating.

Peugeot says that drivers will notice how effective this is when they go outside, and temperatures are cold.

2022 e-2008 has streamlined trims

The 2022 e-2008 has streamlined trims and is available as GT and GT Premium, as well as the Allure Premium and Active Premium trims.

Peugeot says it has dropped the Allure because customers are opting for higher vehicle spec levels.

The refresh has also seen some styling changes to the interior and exterior including new door mirror covers for some models.

Drivers wanting to lease the impressive small car can also opt for black Alcantara seat covers.

Power for the e-2008 comes from a 50kW battery

The power for the stylish e-2008 comes from a 50kW battery that is mated to a 100kW electric motor.

It now delivers from a single charge range of 214 miles and zero emissions.

That means it currently enjoys a 0% Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) rate to make it a great option for business drivers and fleets.

The updated model also supports 100kW rapid charging so it takes 30 minutes to recharge the battery to 80% of capacity.

There's a lot to like about the updates to the contract hire Peugeot e-2008 and with an improved battery-powered range, it's a sound car leasing opportunity.
