Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid spec revealed

The specification for the new contract hire Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid has now been revealed, along with the prices.

The new range has been praised by motoring experts and the addition of a plug-in will make the firm's best-selling SUV even more popular.

Drivers get a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine that this mated with a 66.9kW electric motor and a 13.8kHh lithium polymer battery.

The battery-powered range is up to 31 miles, with the SUV's combined power output being 265 PS with torque of 350Nm.

Tucson car leasing range

Both the equipment and styling has been shared with the rest of the Tucson car leasing range but there are some technical changes for the plug-in hybrid.

These include having an active air flap to adjust the car's air intake, depending on speed and the engine temperature.

The Tucson also features four-wheel-drive as standard and there are various terrain modes to select to suit challenging terrain.

The settings will distribute the necessary driving power to the rear or front wheels depending on the surface and driving conditions.

There are two trims available for the Tucson plug-in hybrid and prices start at £39,330.

Drivers get to enjoy 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the satnav and the firm's Bluelink connected car services offering.

There's also a 10.25-inch instrument display cluster, as well as LED rear and front lights.

The Ultimate spec adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, leather seat facings and a smart electric tailgate.

Options include a Tech Pack that will add an electronically controlled suspension, an around-view monitor, remote smart parking assist and parking collision avoidance assist.

New Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid

As usual, the new Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid comes with the firm's five-year unlimited mileage warranty, along with an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty for the battery.

This offering should bring peace of mind for those who decide to lease this SUV.

Indeed, the Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) rating is just 10% for those company car drivers who are considering a contract hire deal.

This new Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid is available to lease now.
